Register now ↗Dynamo brings Hanover and Mechanicsville families together through local soccer. We offer recreational soccer every season: Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer. Players and volunteer coaches have a year-round place to enjoy the game, build confidence and be part of a team.
Our purpose is an enjoyable, physically and psychologically safe environment, for recreational soccer at reasonable participation costs.

Winter Indoor welcomes ages 4 to 15. Spring and Fall recreation, Summer 7 a side, camps and the development/travel pathways offer other ways to play.

Winter indoor and Summer outdoor 7 a side keep the ball rolling. Spring and Fall offer recreation and ADP, an introduction to travel. Recreation can stay your soccer home; ADP and NXT travel are options when they fit.

Start with recreation program information and tell Shular your player’s age and experience. Saturday Indoor Rec is listed for ages 4 to 15. Spring and Fall recreation offers a local starting point, with season-specific eligibility and entry details.
Each game is scheduled in a one-hour block. Doubleheader days require a longer visit. Age-group game times fall between 9:00 AM and noon at Sports Reality Performance Training Center. The season runs for six Saturdays, January 9 to February 13, 2027.
Winter registration includes a jersey, shorts and socks. Bring water and shin guards. Cleats or indoor soccer shoes are both acceptable. Follow your coach’s instructions for your meeting time and any other equipment.
Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall recreation use parent volunteer coaches. Winter uses the same coach sign-up process as the other rec seasons. Coaches receive a coach kit and a 50% refund on one child’s winter registration. 1st Class Soccer camps use paid club coaches and credentialed instruction. Learn about coach preparation and volunteering; NXT’s travel programs are a separate partnership.
Seven players play at a time, including the goalkeeper. Teams typically have nine players, allowing for substitutes.
Share a buddy, school or favorite-coach request during registration. Dynamo considers requests alongside age groups, experience, team sizes and coach availability to create balanced recreational teams. Requests depend on space and cannot be guaranteed. Individual Shootout players register on their own and teams are built for that event.

ADP is an introduction to travel soccer for the published rising U7/U8 development groups. NXT is Dynamo’s strategic travel partner, with its own current tryout and team requirements. Your child can continue enjoying recreation without choosing travel.
